On The Trail

A year in review of Citizen Kate’s journey to meet Obama.

Many people have asked me why I began this whole citizen journey on the campaign trail. The answer is simple -- to find Obama. He's an icon in my hometown of Chicago.

When I heard he was making a possible presidential announcement in Springfield, I was there. I followed Obama to LA, where my hope to meet him was crushed. I went to Iowa and commissioned Duffy Lyon to make a butterhead of Barack. Then to New Hampshire, where David Axelrod admitted I was key to success. I even was in Indiana singing with Stevie Wonder, and so close to shaking Obama's hand. Still no go...

Obama, I made your butterhead! Now stop shunning me.

Note to self: It takes more than a butterhead to make a political connection. You need a million hits on YouTube.
