Kate manages to get a front row seat to Barack Obama’s Inauguration thanks to her facebook friend and new political boyfriend Ben Taylor.

This is a great place to find out how to register to vote. They have the actual Declaration of Independence! Can you imagine all the old people that have touched it?!
How can you not love this site and these people? They’re about the green and about peace. Our earth is so important. Would you poop in your bed and then sleep in it? No. So we all need to work together to improve our environment and make this world a peaceful place to live.
This site offers good insight mixed with lots of laughs. Comedy Central’s Indecision 2008, something approximating election news with something approximating honesty, offers lots of polls and clips of the candidates. Including one of my favorite possible contenders, Stephen Colbert. Not only is he part of the Republican, Democrat party. He’s super cute. And super funny. A good sense of humor is something all great leaders need. Also, check out The Colbert Facebook site if you have a Facebook membership.
How can anyone go a day without visiting their friends on MySpace? You can reconnect with old high school mates, family or show off to your ex. Check out all of my MySpace friends and add yourself to my list.
I know! This is a big time news site. It offers the latest news headlines. My personal favorite is the article “Assessing the First Daughter Wannabes”. Can you imagine being the first daughter? I was in my family. My sister’s younger. This is a great site with loads of information to stay informed.
All politics. All the time. Politico.com really gives you a breakdown of the candidates, the issues, and the truth in politics. The Playbook from one of my favorite online journalists, James Kotecki. He actually interviewed Ron Paul in his dorm room! He gives a quick play of politics on a regular basis. It’s informative and he’s cute!
This is the site that first mentioned me after my first political event. It covers the 2008 Political Campaigning happening online. Jeff Jarvis, a true American journalist and former television critic for TV Guide and People Magazine, was the first to take notice of my citizen journalism. I would love to be in People someday!
A blog by Will Reynolds about issues and events in Springfield, Illinois. I don’t really know Will, but he took note of my first event and said I was “too funny”. I like that and consider him a cyberfriend.
This is a fabulous citizen journalist site dedicated to giving citizens like us a forum for reporting. It keeps mainstream media on its toes and begs the question: “Will journalism be done by you or to you?” Of course, it doesn’t hurt that a bunch of super cuties run the site. They interviewed me in New Hampshire and it’s been bliss ever since. Ahhh... Jason, Chuck and Mike....
I love this site! It offers some high quality videos and original content. Veoh also features me regularly, and was the first to start a Citizen Kate channel. What’s not to love?! Check it out and join. You can leave comments on my videos there and post your own.
Carey is great! Her production company launched Citizen Kate and produces other cool spots and programs in Chicago. She has like a decade of experience consulting with candidates to help them get into office. Maybe she’ll get me in office someday!
Ok. A lot of you probably bitch about the voting process and have asked the question, “Why Tuesday?” many times. Seriously. Why Tuesday? Why not Saturday? Or Sunday? Or Thursday night? This site with its Host/Executive Director/Super Cutie Jacob Soboroff hunts down Presidential Candidates and Politicians to get to the bottom of voting reform. It’s all about “Fixing our voting system, one question at a time.” Why Tuesday and Jacob have my vote!
This is an awesome resource for finding out loads of information! When I don’t know something about a subject, I start with Wikipedia to get the skinny quickly. You can also get the skinny on me there. Bookmark it!
Steve rocks! He’s the editor and owner of this YouTube Political Vlog to help connect young people with actual presidential candidates. It offers a forum for you to submit questions to the top contenders so that you’re voice can be heard. Even if you don’t have a question, you can learn from what others are asking. I also dig the “Citizen” in the name.
